Artist's Comments

Handheld shot of my dad in the mine we went down to film/photograph last weekend. I think this admirably demonstrates two things, firstly the darkness of some parts of the mine which were totally pitch black, and secondly the amazing qualities of the 80/1.9. This only was lit with my helmet lamp, pathetic little things, although the brightest thing avaliable at the time.

Looking forward to printing it.

Technique:
Mamya 645 Pro + 80mm f1.9
Ilford Hp5 @ 1600 deved in Rodinal
Scanned negative

This is really lovely. And kudos to your 80/1.9! Good stuff!

Its lovely lens, I just can't stop using it, much to the detriment of my bank balance.
